With burning swing and infectious joy of playing, brings We Take Requests Trio new life to timeless classics from the American jazz standard repertoire. Through creative and fresh interpretations of both well-known and lesser-known standards, the trio takes the audience on a journey through the rich history of swing jazz.

With one foot firmly planted in tradition and the other leaning forward, We Take Requests Trio has become masters of their craft. Over the past five years, they have explored the sound of many of jazz history’s great piano trios, ultimately distilling these influences into a unique and distinctive musical identity of their own. The result is telepathic interplay, deep stylistic understanding, and an unmistakable sense of musical freedom. In autumn 2025, the trio released their debut album Too Close For Comfort — an album that delivers swing jazz at a world-class level.

The band’s pianist, Eirik Tveten, is a rare talent. With roots in boogie-woogie and stride piano, he combines explosive energy and formidable technique with intricate lines and sophisticated harmony. Bassist and bandleader Eskild Okkenhaug provides a rock-solid swing foundation, giving drum virtuoso Steinar Heide Bø freedom to play, explore, and interact.
